We live in the age of digital environments, everything all at once, only two fingertip-tip taps away. How convenient to just upload it.
Well, that’s precisely why we have chosen to not publish online. We feel that all of us who grew up with digital tools also silently are drowning in this tunnel vision, fast pace, blue-light environment. So, two main reasons why we make use of (biotop) physical magazines:
A. Most of the news that is being read by people aged 16 to 25 is digital, with short updates on big global news, vacuous columns for easy dig throughs and most of all, not entertaining, FAT easy to grab your attention articles with the focus to showcase the highest reader count to advertisers. This statement doesn't apply to everyone and besides, where would we be without short news updates? They are necessary to keep us informed about EVERYTHING (we will not aim for that goal). But by having such a high refresh rate of information people tend to not click on articles above a certain length that really teach you something about an object. We went to enlighten and entertain you through slow journalism, design, photography, art and space.
B. If you ever experienced the feeling of picking up a physical magazine, or see one dropping at your doorstep, you know. If you don’t know, now you know. It’s a GOOD feeling and we will be taking the challenge to bring this feeling more mainstream.
